Cutting the Wires and The Footprint

February 11, 2008 By Gary Marston Leave a Comment

Paul Bettison, Leader, Bracknell Forest Borough Council

Paul will capture your imagination about how ‘cutting the infrastructure wires’ can not only release office space and also provide better customer service but, how it should be an integrated part of your strategic planning and provide a solution for operational front line managers and your Council’s community Leadership role.

Paul’s presentation provided useful tips on the strategic challenges, the necessary vision and delivery of mobile working. Paul is always clear that remote and mobile working are subtly different and should not be confused  but, form part of the menu a forward thinking Authority should have to pick from.

Paul explained the practical development of the business case and the importance of identifying and delivering the return on investment and explained how this can be a vehicle for delivering transformation change of services for those that need it whilst also being able to deliver organic change for those who prefer this approach.
